Casa Do Comendador was a charming retreat, offering a unique blend of art and comfort in its refined decor. The house exuded a sense of history, with antique furniture and inlaid wood pieces adding to its artistic value. The room, overlooking the pool, was spacious and cozy, with a private entrance and cable TV. The shared lounge was a treasure trove of paintings, music, and embroidery, providing a cozy spot to unwind. The complimentary WiFi and room service added a touch of convenience to our stay.Our hostess, Patricia, was warm and welcoming, treating us to a delicious breakfast with homemade jams and cakes. Though communication was a bit challenging due to the language barrier, her hospitality shone through. The house's proximity to the center of Manteigas offered easy access to local restaurants and shops, adding to the overall experience. The seasonal outdoor pool and free bicycle use provided ample opportunities for outdoor adventures, making our stay even more enjoyable.Exploring the surrounding mountains for hiking and biking was a highlight, offering a chance to immerse ourselves in nature's beauty. The proximity to cultural sites like the Olive Oil Museum and Belmonte Jewish Museum added a touch of history to our trip.
